Yevgeny Berkovich

October 6, 1945 marked the birth of Yevgeny Mikhailovich Berkovich in Irkutsk, Russia. Berkovich pursued his formal education at the Faculty of Physics at Moscow State University, graduating in 1968. He later earned a Candidate of Sciences degree in Physics and Mathematics in 1973. Throughout his tenure in Moscow, which lasted from 1946 until 1995, he built a reputation as a researcher. His professional standing is further defined by his status as a senior researcher and his qualification as a Doctor of Natural Sciences in Germany.

In 1995, Berkovich relocated to Hanover, Germany, where he continued his professional work. He established several digital and print platforms, serving as the founder and editor-in-chief for portals and publications such as Seven Arts, Workshop, and the online resource Notes on Jewish History. These outlets also feature his almanac, Jewish Antiquity. Beyond his editorial duties, he contributed to the documentary film Questions to God as a scriptwriter.

Historical Writing and Literary Output

His bibliography covers the development of quantum mechanics and twentieth-century Jewish history. Notable titles include The Odyssey of Peter Pringsheim, published in 2013, and the 2014 study Antipodes: Albert Einstein and Philipp Lenard in the Context of Physics and History.
