Early Career and Pageantry
Born on February 22, 1988, to Carlos Navarrete and Gabriela Rosette, she began modeling at the age of sixteen. Before her international success, she studied nutrition at the Valle de Atemajac University. Her formal entry into national competition began when she earned the title of Nuestra Belleza Jalisco on July 16, 2009. Navarrete reached the peak of the pageant circuit on August 23, 2010, when she was named Miss Universe. Her one-year reign involved an extensive global travel schedule, encompassing visits to China, Indonesia, France, India, Russia, Brazil, and across the United States. In Shanghai, she represented the pageant at the 2010 World Expo. Her charitable work included partnerships with Children International in her hometown of Guadalajara and support for Aid for AIDS in Panama.
Commercial and Screen Work
In February 2011, she signed on as a spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris and Old Navy. She eventually shifted her focus to professional acting after receiving training at the Asian Academy of Film & Television. Her debut occurred in the 2013 soap opera La tempestad, produced by Salvador Mejía. Sharing the screen with William Levy, she undertook a demanding dual role, portraying both Marina Reverte and Magdalena Artigas.
