Early Development and Training
Born in Heusy, Belgium, Villas moved to Poland in 1948, settling in Lewin Kłodzki. Her formal music education began in Szczecin in 1956 at the State Musical High School, followed by advanced studies in Wrocław and Warsaw under professors Gisela Posh and Eugenia Falkowska. These years provided the foundation for her later transition into opera and cabaret.

Her professional debut occurred on Polskie Radio in 1960. By the mid-1960s, she achieved international recognition, notably at the 3rd Festival International des Variétés et Music-Halls in Rennes, where she won the Grand Prix International d'Interpretation. In 1966, at the request of Bruno Coquatrix, she performed a revue program at the Olympia in Paris, which served as the launchpad for her subsequent residency in the United States.
Las Vegas and Global Stardom
Between 1966 and 1970, Villas held a prominent residency at the Dunes Hotel & Casino. During this period, she recorded twenty songs for American television and Capitol Records, while sharing the stage with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Barbra Streisand. Her act was characterized by elaborate costumes designed by Patrick Valette and performances supported by a hundred-person ballet.
Return to Poland and Later Career
In the 1970s, a family crisis necessitated her return to Poland, where authorities subsequently restricted her international travel for over a decade. Despite this, she maintained a career within Poland, performing at the Siren Theatre and the Grand Theatre in Łódź. She eventually resumed global touring in the late 1980s, including a sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall in 1987.
