Bělohradský completed his studies at Charles University in Prague, where he was a student of Jan Patočka. Following his education, he relocated to Italy to pursue an academic career. He held a professorship in political sociology at the University of Trieste. His work during this period included the 1974 publication Ragionamento, azione, società and the 1981 title Il mondo della vita: un problema politico.
