Sergei Aksyonov

Crimean politician

Sergei Aksyonov (born 1972) is a Russian politician. Aksyonov was born in Bălți on 26 November 1972.

Aksyonov held office as Prime Minister of Crimea (2014–2019), Head of the Republic of Crimea (from 2014) and Head of the Republic of Crimea (in 2014).

Aksyonov received Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 1st class (2014), Medal "For the Return of Crimea" (2014), Order of Friendship of Peoples, honorary citizen of Republic of Crimea and Order of Alexander Nevsky (2021). He appeared at Russian annexation of Crimea. He studied at Simferopol Higher Military-Political Construction School.

Aksyonov was the son of Valery Aksenov. He is recorded as following Eastern Orthodoxy.
