Born in Tétouan, Morocco, on 9 April 1972, Nadir Khayat transitioned from a musician in his home country to a global producer operating under the name RedOne. Early Career and Swedish Development
Khayat settled in Sweden to explore the local music scene. By 1995, he shifted his focus toward songwriting and production. Under the mentorship of Rami Yacoub, he learned software programming and studio techniques. During this formative period, he contributed to the Swedish girl band Popsie and adopted the pseudonym RedOne. Relocating to Jersey City, New Jersey, in 2007, RedOne faced significant initial financial hardship while attempting to penetrate the American market.
