Early Development and London Education
Peggy Gou began her musical education with classical piano lessons at age eight. Her parents facilitated her move to the UK at age 14 for language studies. Although she briefly returned to Korea at 18, she soon relocated back to London to attend the London College of Fashion. Following her graduation, she worked as a London correspondent editor for Harper's Bazaar Korea before pivoting to music production.

After learning to DJ in 2009, she performed at venues including Cirque Le Soir and The Book Club. By 2013, she mastered Ableton Live, leading to the creation of her first track, 'Hungboo', in 2014. Her recording debut occurred in 2016 with 'The Art of War Part 1'. She subsequently gained prominence through hits such as 'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)', which earned Best Track at the AIM Independent Music Awards.
Independent Ventures and Global Presence
In 2019, she established Gudu Records to provide new artists with better professional opportunities. Her debut studio album, I Hear You, was released via XL Recordings on 7 June 2024, featuring collaborations like 'I Believe In Love Again' with Lenny Kravitz. Beyond recorded music, she has performed at major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Primavera Sound, and holds the distinction of being the first Korean DJ to perform at Berghain in Berlin.

Her professional scope extends into fashion. In 2019, she launched the label KIRIN, a name derived from the Korean word for giraffe, with support from Virgil Abloh under the New Guards Group.
