Born in 1998 in Cittadella, Egonu received Italian citizenship at age fourteen. She secured the CEV Champions League title with AGIL Novara in 2019 and again with the Turkish club VakifBank in 2023. In 2022, she powered Italy to its first gold medal at the Volleyball Nations League, collecting 83 points in the finals and earning MVP status. After a temporary hiatus from international duty, she returned in 2024 under coach Julio Velasco.
