Orlando Letelier (1932–1976) was a Chilean economist and diplomat. Letelier was born in Temuco on 13 April 1932. He died in Washington, D.C. on 21 September 1976, at the age of 44.
Letelier served as minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile (in 1973), ambassador, Minister of the Interior of Chile (in 1973) and minister of National Defence of Chile (in 1973). He was attached to American University, Institute for Policy Studies and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.
Letelier studied at University of Chile, Instituto Nacional General José Miguel Carrera and Liceo José Victorino Lastarria.
