Early Development and Transition
Orphaned by age two, Moraa was raised by her grandparents in Kisii, western Kenya. She secured her education through running bursaries. Her international emergence began at the World Under-18 Championships in Nairobi, where she earned a silver medal in the 400 metres with a personal best of 53.31 seconds. She continued focusing on the 400 metres throughout 2019, securing the African U20 title and the Kenyan senior title before pivoting toward the 800 metres in 2020.

Moraa debuted in the 800 metres during the 2019 season. After representing Kenya at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she exited in the semi-finals with a time of 2:00.47, she refined her approach. In 2022, she claimed a bronze medal at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, recording 1:56.71. That same year, she won gold at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham after executing a tactical recovery from the back of the pack. She concluded 2022 by securing the Diamond League 800 m title in Zürich.
