Contributions to Analytic Number Theory

Huxley is credited with significant technical advancements concerning gaps between prime numbers. He demonstrated that for any value of theta greater than 7/12, the difference between consecutive prime numbers pn+1 and pn remains smaller than pn raised to the power of theta for all sufficiently large integers n. In addition to his work on prime distributions, he produced research to improve the established bounds related to the Dirichlet divisor problem, a classic challenge in the field.

Professional Recognition

In 2011, Huxley received institutional recognition for his service and research accomplishments when he was elected a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.
