Early Career and Austrian Development
Ati-Zigi joined Red Bull Salzburg in January 2015 from the Ghanaian feeder club Red Bull Ghana. He was assigned to the reserve team FC Liefering, competing in the Austrian Football First League. His debut occurred on 17 April 2015 during a 4–1 victory over TSV Hartberg. Over two years, he made 33 appearances for Liefering. Additionally, he earned a medal for the 2015–16 Austrian Football Bundesliga after being named to the Red Bull Salzburg match day squad twice.

In July 2017, the goalkeeper transferred to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, reuniting with coach Peter Zeidler. His debut occurred on 8 August 2017 in the Coupe de la Ligue. Primarily serving as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Maxence Prévot, he made 12 appearances across all competitions during his initial season, including pivotal matches in the Coupe de France where he helped the side advance to the round of 16.
Establishing St. Gallen
Ati-Zigi moved to the Swiss Super League club FC St. Gallen in January 2020. He debuted against FC Lugano on 26 January, contributing to a 3–1 win. His impact in Switzerland grew significantly, leading to individual recognition, including the Swiss Super League Player of the Month award in November 2022 and inclusion in the 2022–23 Team of the Season. He achieved his 100th Swiss Super League appearance in October 2022.
International Representation
He earned his senior team debut in a June 2018 friendly against Iceland. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he assumed the role of starting goalkeeper, notably making critical saves in a 3–2 victory over South Korea. He also participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in matches against Panama and Colombia.
