Despite a personal disdain for the scripted nature of professional wrestling, Angle signed with the World Wrestling Federation in 1998. He debuted on television in November 1999 and quickly secured both European and Intercontinental titles. Over his career, he captured the WWF Championship four times and achieved the status of a WWE Triple Crown winner and Grand Slam champion, eventually earning induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
