Early Development and Domestic Breakthrough
Born in Necoclí in 1988, Cuadrado began his formal training at the Manchester F.C. Apartadó academy at age 12. Cuadrado relocated to Italy in 2009 to join Udinese on a five-year contract. Opportunities were limited, leading to a loan spell at Lecce for the 2011–12 season. Despite the team's relegation, his performances prompted a move to Fiorentina in 2012. He became a fixture in Florence, eventually securing a permanent transfer in 2014 following two successful campaigns that established his reputation as a dynamic wide player.
Premier League and Italian Dominance
In February 2015, Chelsea signed the Colombian for a fee reported at £23.3 million. His time in England proved brief, featuring limited appearances before a loan move to Juventus. He enjoyed a period of sustained success in Turin, winning multiple Serie A titles and Coppa Italia trophies. After leaving Juventus in 2023, he had short spells with Inter Milan and subsequently joined Atalanta.
International Representation
Since his senior international debut in 2010, Cuadrado has been a core member of the Colombian squad. He has participated in five editions of the Copa América, including two third-place finishes in 2016 and 2021.
