Notable Equestrian Partnerships

Her career was defined early by the horse Gigolo, owned by her coach Uwe Schulten-Baumer, with whom she achieved championship victories from 1992 to 2000. She later competed with Anthony FRH, Satchmo, and Warum Nicht FRH, the latter of which won the 2007 World Cup in Las Vegas. Her later partnerships included Weihegold OLD, securing team gold and individual silver in Rio, and Bella Rose 2, which earned multiple gold medals at the World Equestrian Games and European Championships.

Regulatory Challenges

Werth has faced several administrative setbacks regarding competitive regulations. In 2009, she received a six-month suspension from the International Federation for Equestrian Sports after her horse Whisper tested positive for fluphenazine. She later faced a ban in 2013 following a positive test for cimetidine in her horse El Santo. Additionally, she was eliminated from the 2022 CHIO Aachen competition after evidence of blood appeared on her horse.

Media and Digital Representation

In 2007, she featured as an on-screen trainer in the computer game Isabell Werth – Reitsport, developed by Dancing Dots and published by Frogster Interactive. The simulation offered instruction in dressage, show jumping, and cross-country riding. While now out of print, the game was later released under the title Ride! Equestrian Simulation, with her original character file remaining within the software data.
