26th President of Colombia (1900-1975)

Gustavo Rojas Pinilla (1900–1975) was the 26th President of Colombia. Rojas was born in Tunja on 12 March 1900. He died in Melgar on 17 January 1975, at the age of 75.

Rojas held office as President of Colombia (1953–1957), General Commander of the Military Forces (1950–1951) and General Commander of the Military Forces (in 1953).

Rojas received Grand Cross Special Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (1953). He studied at Trine University.

Rojas married Carolina Correa Londoño. He had one recorded child, María Eugenia Rojas Correa. He is recorded as following Catholicism. The recorded cause of death is myocardial infarction.
