Felipe Nasr began his path to motorsport prominence in Brasília, where he started karting at age seven. His progression from regional successes in Brazil to the international stage required navigating diverse categories, from European single-seaters to the competitive fields of Formula One and endurance racing, establishing a career defined by high-stakes endurance and precise technical driving.
Early Open-Wheel Success
Nasr debuted in open-wheel racing in 2008 at the final round of the Formula BMW Americas season at Interlagos. By 2009, he transitioned to the European championship, winning the title with six race victories and five pole positions. In 2010, he joined the British Formula 3 Championship with Räikkönen Robertson Racing, followed by a championship win with Carlin Motorsport in 2011, finishing 123 points ahead of his teammate Kevin Magnussen.

During his tenure in the GP2 Series, Nasr raced for DAMS in 2012 and later for Carlin in 2013 and 2014. He secured his first win in the 2014 sprint race in Barcelona, adding further victories at the Red Bull Ring, Silverstone, and Spa-Francorchamps. In 2014, he served as a reserve driver for Williams, appearing in free practice sessions. He joined Sauber in 2015, finishing 13th in the drivers' championship with 27 points. In 2016, his ninth-place finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix secured Sauber’s position in the constructors' standings.
Endurance Racing and Porsche Factory Role
Following a brief stint in Formula E in 2019, Nasr focused on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. He won titles in 2018 with Eric Curran and in 2021 with Pipo Derani. As a Porsche factory driver since 2022 and a Team Penske competitor since 2023, his endurance resume includes victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2019, 2025, and 2026, alongside three consecutive GTP wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona from 2024 to 2026.
