His tenure included a significant contribution to the 2009–10 treble-winning season, specifically scoring during the round of 16 against Chelsea. Between 2004 and 2014, he remained a consistent starter, scoring key goals in the Derby della Madonnina and various domestic cup competitions before his contract expired in 2014.
Stints in England and Greece
In August 2014, Cambiasso signed with the newly promoted Premier League club Leicester City. He played a central role in the team's 2014–15 season, scoring five goals and earning recognition as the club's Player of the Year. Following his departure in 2015, he joined the Greek club Olympiacos. During his two-year stay in Greece, he helped the side retain their league title and featured in European competition before announcing his retirement in September 2017.
International Representation
Cambiasso represented Argentina at the international level from 2000 to 2011, earning 52 caps.
