In 2002, Miśkiewicz released her debut solo album, 'Dorota Miśkiewicz Goes To Heaven - Zatrzymaj się', which earned a nomination for the Fryderyk award for Jazz Album of the Year. She followed this with the 2004 release 'Pod rzęsami'. This record included the track 'W małych istnieniach', which competed at the Opole Festival, and the title track, which appeared on the 'Zakochany Anioł' film soundtrack.
