Early Development and Breakthrough
Born in Antofagasta in 1988, Toselli joined the Universidad Católica youth academy in 2001. Coach Jorge Pellicer promoted him to the first team in 2006. His competitive debut occurred on 25 November 2007 against Coquimbo Unido. By the following season, he secured the starting goalkeeper position, displacing José María Buljubasich. His progression was interrupted in 2009 by a cruciate ligament rupture sustained during the Toulon Tournament final, a six-month injury that saw him sidelined and eventually relegated to the bench in favor of Paulo Garcés.

Toselli regained his starting role in May 2011 after a performance error by Garcés in a Copa Libertadores match against Peñarol. He contributed to the club's 2010 Primera División title and the 2011 Copa Chile victory. His tenure at Universidad Católica was defined by consistent domestic success, including championships in 2010, 2016 Apertura, 2016 Clausura, 2019, and 2020. He also claimed the Supercopa de Chile in 2016 and 2019.
International Assignments and Loan Stints
Internationally, Toselli represented Chile at the 2005 South American U-17 Championship and the 2007 U-20 World Cup. He was part of the squad that won the 2009 Toulon Tournament. At the senior level, he was included in the 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. His club career involved several loan spells between 2017 and 2022, playing for Atlas in Mexico, as well as Chilean clubs Everton and Palestino, and the Argentine side Central Córdoba SdE.
Transition to Universidad de Chile
In January 2023, Toselli moved to Universidad de Chile on a free transfer. He remained with the club through the end of the 2025 season. On 7 January 2026, the club confirmed a contract renewal for an additional season.
