Born in 1997 in Alginet, Spain, her early academic performance established a record as the most successful Valencian student in university-level mathematics competitions, spanning disciplines from physics and chemistry to advanced mathematical theory and programming.
Early Competitive Success
Torres Latorre demonstrated high proficiency in science olympiads throughout her high school years. In 2013 and 2014, she secured consecutive gold medals in the Mediterranean Mathematics Competition. Simultaneously, she achieved a gold medal at the Ibero-American Chemistry Olympiad held in Bolivia in 2013, marking a significant performance for a Spanish student in that field. In 2014, she was recognized at the Palace of the Generalitat Valenciana, where she met Nobel Prize winner Harold Walter Kroto.

Her academic progression continued with success in various global contests. In 2014, she earned gold at the International Mathematical Arhimede Contest in Bucharest. By 2015, she achieved absolute gold at the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad in Puerto Rico, where she led the Spanish team to a third-place finish. That same year, she won gold at the International Mathematics Competition for University Students in Bulgaria, a feat she replicated in 2016, alongside a gold medal in a speed programming competition in Porto.
Academic Formation and Research
Torres Latorre completed her undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Physical Engineering at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia via the Estalmat project. She received the Silver Pin from the Catalan Mathematical Society in 2014 for her consistent performance in the Kangaroo Math Contest. In June 2024, she attained her PhD in Mathematics, focusing her research on the theory of regularity in obstacle problems concerning the Harnack inequality.
