Early Career and Education
Aurela Gaçe received her formal training at the University of Arts in Albania. Following her initial emergence in the music industry during the early 1990s, she released early singles including Pegaso in 1993, Nuk mjafton in 1994, and Nata in 1995. Her output throughout the late 1990s included albums such as Oh Nënë and The Best, both released in 1998, which contributed to her rising profile in the Albanian music scene.

In 2010, she returned to the music industry with the release of the single Origjinale, composed by Flori Mumajesi. Gaçe holds the distinction of winning Festivali i Këngës three times and Kënga Magjike three times. In 2010, she won the 49th edition of Festivali i Këngës with the entry Kënga ime, written by Shpëtim Saraçi. This victory led to her selection as the representative for Albania at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. For the event, she traveled to Los Angeles, California, to record a final version of her entry, titled Feel the Passion. During the contest's first semi-final, she finished in 14th place with 47 points.
