Following a stint at Coffeyville Community College, he transferred to the University of Southern California. In 2015, he achieved national prominence by winning both the 100 m and 200 m events at the NCAA Championships. By December 2015, he transitioned to professional status, signing a commercial partnership with Puma.
Olympic and World Championship Success
De Grasse became the first Canadian sprinter to secure three medals at a single Olympic Games. His performance trajectory includes winning the 200 m gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, alongside silver in the 4 × 100 m relay and bronze in the 100 m.
