Alexander Philippe Albon Ansusinha began his competitive racing career in 2005 at the age of eight, starting in the local Hoddesdon Championship at Rye House Kart Circuit. The Thai-British driver subsequently progressed through junior formulae, earning multiple titles before establishing himself within the Formula One grid and representing Williams in global competition.
Junior Career Path
Albon spent his early years participating in the KF3 karting class, where he secured wins in the CIK-FIA World Cup and European Championship. After graduating to Formula Renault 2.0, he spent three seasons refining his craft, finishing third in the 2014 drivers' championship with 117 points. His transition to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2015 resulted in a seventh-place finish, followed by a runner-up performance in the 2016 GP3 Series while driving for ART Grand Prix.

In 2019, Albon made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso at the Australian Grand Prix. Mid-season, he transferred to Red Bull to partner Max Verstappen. During the 2020 campaign, he secured his first podium finish at the Tuscan Grand Prix and repeated the feat in Bahrain. After a year as a reserve driver in 2021, he joined Williams in 2022 to replace George Russell, maintaining his seat through the 2025 season.

As of the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix, Albon holds a career total of two podium finishes and one fastest lap. His 2025 season concluded with an eighth-place standing in the championship, the highest result among midfield competitors. He remains under contract with Williams until the conclusion of the 2027 season.
