What is documented
The account comes from a June 2014 Hongkiat feature on teenage app developers. It places Duggan at 13 in the Las Vegas technology community and names two apps, LazyHusband and Bargument, which he and his father took to South by Southwest in Austin to launch.
LazyHusband is the one the article explains. It plays back pre-recorded complimentary phrases so that a husband can respond to his wife's questions without actually answering them. The idea, the article says, came to Duggan while his mother was trying on outfits. What Bargument does is not described, and no other source used here fills the gap.
A joke app with a serious point
LazyHusband is a comedy premise executed as working software, and the distinction matters. Turning a joke into a shipped iPhone app in 2014 required building an interface, recording and packaging audio, obtaining a developer account and passing Apple's review, which at that age normally means a parent holds the account.
It also has an obvious hook for journalists, which is part of why it was written about. An app that answers a question with an automated compliment is easy to describe in one sentence, and one-sentence descriptions are how small apps get attention at a festival with thousands of exhibits.
Why SXSW
South by Southwest, held each March in Austin, is where a certain kind of technology product is expected to be launched. The reason is density: press, developers and investors are in the same city for a week, and small products can find an audience they could not reach through the App Store alone.
Hongkiat reports that Duggan attended with his father. That detail is the practical reality behind most child-founder stories. A 13-year-old cannot book travel, sign an exhibitor agreement or hold a company account, so a parent is necessarily part of the venture, whatever the headline says.
Where Ethan Duggan is now
Nothing is documented after 2014 in the sources used here. There is no later interview, no App Store update history, no company announcement and no Wikipedia article.
It is worth saying plainly what that means. This page can confirm that a teenage developer in Las Vegas was written about once, with two named apps and a trip to Austin. It cannot confirm how the apps performed, whether he kept building software, or what he is doing now.

اخوض اختبار الذكاء →The problem with single-source records
Most of what circulates about young developers from this period traces back to a small number of round-up articles, which then get rewritten by other sites. A claim repeated across twenty pages can still rest on one reporter's afternoon, and that is the situation here: the description of Duggan as the youngest member of the Las Vegas tech community comes from one feature, not from an organisation that keeps such a roll.
That does not make the account false. It makes it unconfirmed, which is a different thing, and the honest way to present it is with the source attached to every sentence. Where national coverage exists, a record can be cross-checked; here it cannot, and this page marks the limit rather than writing past it.
